I have a R25sc and in order to take off my fuel filter, the one not attached to the engine block, I had to remove it from the bulk head, put the mounting casting in a vice and use a really large expandable wrench to remove it. I don't know what Yanmar was thinking to put it on that tight. It was absolutely not removable while mounted on the boat. However, speaking of not thinking, I did not mark the fuel hoses as to which was in flow and which was out flow. I need to know whether the hose going to the engine is connected to filter in flow or out flow in order to reinstall. This is keeping me from putting my boat back in the water so if anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

The line from the engine that used to go to the filter is the farthest aft line of the two mounted to the block, it has a yellow ferrule on the end. Does it attach to the filter at the inflow or the outflow fitting?

Thanks, desparate to fish

I just happen to be on my boat. R25SC Yanmar 150
The engine line with the yellow ferrule attaches to the outflow side of the filter, arrow points out.

Thanks and its good to be on the boat. I will run to the shop and start work.
