Well we got back from a nice weekend from Catalina, and I checked the fuel gage and it still reads full. That would be nice but not very likely. I have searched around to see if I can find the float to see if there is a loose wire or something, but I have had no luck in finding it. Anyone know where it is? Anyone else had this problem? It is a 2010 R25 with the Yanmar 4BY2.

I have an '09 with the same engine, and have had a long standing problem with the fuel guage. The sending unit, unfortunately, is located beneath the sole, and I was told by a Ranger dealer, who conferred with Andrew, that a hole has to be cut to access it. Andrew promised to provide the exact measurements to access the unit.

Hello Peter,

Is your boat an R-25 or R-25sc? If it's the R-25sc you should be able to access the fuel sender by opening the white hatch under the entry step to your cabin. If not Sanford is correct that a hole will need to be cut in your floor to reach the sender.
