I installed a fuel shutoff valve on my R25 2008 yanmar 110hp. 5/16 size. I took it out for test run and every so often ( twice at low and moderate speed)the fuel alarm would go off. The fuel hose is 5/16 ID so that is what I got but I wonder if the shutoff valve is not up to spec and restricting fuel flow just enough to trigger alarm. Tank is 3/4 full.

Just a thought on another matter. Anyone done the calculation for fuel flow per hour on the 110 yanmar doing about 10 kts? I'm just curious. I did a rough estimate and got around 1.6 gallons per hour but did not fill the tank and figure it out
accurately.

The fuel alarm could be for a few different things. There should be a code, Can you determine the code or the specific alarm warning? With that said, more often than not, usually the last thing you did is the culprit.
