Would be keen to know if anyone out there has ever had to 'drain' the fuel tank on an R21? Bit early for mine, as it is only a 2010 model and in fairly new condition (ex-demonstrator Mandurah Boat Show 2013). Just wondering whether much water accumulates in the tank over a period of time. Considering the tank has no drain cock/valve, if water was to be present this would require the tank to be 'sucked out' via the inlet pipe - correct? Of course, these days most fuel sources are pretty reliable. Thoughts / suggestions, please? Regards, Stevan

If you have a water separator and use biocide, you should be good. I always use biocide when I add fuel and 1 time each month when it's hot. I came from a sail boat and my fuel sits and sits, because I only burned .7 Gal/hr. I was more concerned with growth then water. Growth will mess up your high pressure pump. If you use the boat, add biocide and have a water separator, I wouldn't worry so much. You could add an in line electric fuel pump that goes thru a racor filter and back into the tank. Let it run overnight and you can polish your fuel. That's a bunch of work.

Hi pugtug613: Thanks for the advice. Will look into the biocide aspect of it all. Regards
