I have a 2011 25SC and when fueling the boat it takes forever to get the last 7+ gallons into the tank. It does not seem to make a difference if I run the pump slow or fast-I've diligently tried both. The fuel foams and never seems to settle. I've check the vent line and I did not find any kinks or sever angles although the vent line seems quite long. I can hear the tank venting when I initially fuel but I think what is happening is the vent line somehow gets blocked with foam or fuel making the last few gallons difficult to get in in which case I never get to (hear it comes a big no-no...) top off. Last time it took me 30 minutes to get the last 5-6 gallons in there. So I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem and if anyone has come up with a solution.

Hmmm -- see my post at http://www.tugnuts.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3997 where I describe installing a fuel vent whistle which I believe might help you. The fuel foaming will occur if pumping aggressively (i.e., high fuel filling rate).

Personally, I would not be too concerned about getting the last few gallons into the boat's tank. If you fill too much with the presence of foam then I would expect some fuel to ooze and/or spurt out of the fuel vent once the boat starts to rock and roll soon after the fuel filling. This would be bad and costly if it's an obvious fuel spill.

I once filled my tank up to what I considered to be full and when I started the engine, to my horror, fuel spurted out of the fuel vent. I was lucky as I still had soak up pads attached to the transom which caught most of it and as I had some spare pads I simply threw them onto the spilled fuel on the water's surface behind the boat. I stopped the boat and retrieved the fuel soak up pads from the water and disposed of them at the fuel dock. This is a situation that I will certainly avoid in the future.
