I’m having new canvas full cockpit enclosure put on my R23 and wondered who else has done this.
I’m wondering how the little pooling problem on the factory canvas plays out when you extend the canvas on back
If you’ve done this, what happens with that water, which I usually just push up to clear when I come on after a rain
I’m wondering if zippering the new section to the original factory canvas is ok or if new canvas front to back is a better option

You should give King Marina Canvas in Ballard a call to discuss this enclosure for your R23. Chat with Dave at...‭(206) 271-2294‬

Our canvas enclosure was designed with a bit of a crown to it so that there is no pooling. It works great! You can see photos here: https://www.nwesterly.com/home/2018/5/1 ... -enclosure

I highly recommend the installers in Longview! Half the price of King Marine and they did a great job.

Thanks Jim,
I’m working with King, so I’ll ask them to do the same thing with my canvas to prevent that pooling of rainwater on the canvas.

Ernie: I've had 3 full cockpit enclosures installed by King Marine. On one there was pooling water at times. King came to my trailered boat at my house and installed an additional cross bar to solve the problem at zero cost to me. They will make it right for you if such an issue were to arise.
