Just wanted to add Furrion to our list of great suppliers.
I had some over heating on my shore receptical on my 29. Not sure of the cause but I did have an issue last winter in a marinia where they had a 50 amp breaker supplying a 30 amp socket and I melted a plug feeding my "Y" connector, as we had Max A/C and other stuff all working at once.
I think in my case, It melted a bit once and then was not making a solid connection, causing it to heat more. I discovered it when removing my "Y" connector. No fuses blew, no smoking but some serious melting ... I have since been checking with all the same loads and not even warm ( I swapped my A/C plug until my new part arrives ) ..Once you have a bad connection the power has to work more to get to where it is going.. causing excessive heat , more melting more work etc.
So I have a recommendation, to all who are always connected to shore power. A weekly check of all ends of your cables to make sure all is good. It is easy to not be checking if all is working well, At least for me it is, I'm sure I am not alone.
I emailed Furrion to see if I could just purchase the guts inside as the rest is ok. They immediatly responded asking for the model and year of the boat. The next email was to say the part was in the mail no charge.... Great customer service.
