Hi -
Looking for some assistance on my 2016 R25 SC. My MNEA 2000 network is being powered by my Fusion UD750 stereo. When I uncheck the “NRK Power” feature on the stereo, my N2K goes off line and I lose power to my Garmin Auto Pilot Controller GHC 20.

I don’t believe I have a dedicated power source to the N2K Backbone. Does anyone know where the N2K backbone/BUS is located on the boat?

Secondarily, if all the devices on the network have their own power supply, with the exception of the GHC 20 auto pilot controller, do I run the risk of running too much power to those devices if the only power source to the N2K network is coming from the stereo.

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks!

Check your breakers on the DC panel. On our 2014 R27 there is a breaker for the NMEA power. We also turn off the NRK Power on the Fusion Radio and supply the NMEA power through the breaker.

i believe back inthe day this was a standard install by the factory. you can run a new power line to the NMEA network and lose the dependancy on the stereo.
