A few years back when Edmonds, WA was blessed with a West Marine store, finding last minute boating items was very convenient. However, with WM's consolidation of stores the one in Edmonds was closed down and boarded up, so to speak.
The nearest marine hardware store was an auto/marine store that is lightly stocked with marine items and finding SS bolts/screws/washers/acorn nuts etc there was a challenge. The store owner will always try and order things for you as an option for hard to find items. The store prices at this place are significantly lower than at WM for comparable products.
Yesterday I learned there's a new hardware store in Edmonds in the same location as the old ACE hardware store which closed down some years back. It's on 2nd floor above the corner Opticians store and opposite the Red Twig coffee café. Access to it is from behind and car parking is obtained by running behind the newly renovated Old Mill Town shops. From there you can walk easily into the new hardware store as the car park is level with the store's entrance. I plan on checking it out today.
