We have a R27 Classic and I’m having issues with the galley faucet. I don’t have any water to the galley sink but the head sink has great pressure and the pump works just fine. I took the handle apart and cleaned it but still no water. I believe there’s a screen in the flexible hose where it attaches to the faucet plumbing behind the sink but I can’t get to it. Today I tried to take the faucet out but I couldn’t get the lock ring past the fittings for the cold and hot water and the flexible hose so that didn’t work. I think the only way to get to the flexible hose fitting is to take the sink out but I’m really afraid of damaging the sink or the counter top. Has anyone had to deal with this before and if you did how did you do it? Any help is appreciated.

Tim,
We have a 2009 R25 Classic and have experienced the exact same problem a couple of times. For us the problem has always been found to be in the spray head. To check if the spray head is the problem, just unscrew the spray head from the hose and test your pressure coming out of the hose. If the pressure is fine at the spray head end of the hose then just replace the spray head. I tried a number of times to clean out the old spray head with no luck. Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Amazon all carry some brushed nickel spray heads that look very similar to the original and not very expensive. Just make sure the threads are the same and you are good. We carry a spare spray head onboard these days. I consider the spray heads to be a consumable.

I am currently in the same hell as you. I did manage to get the flex hose off the faucet inlet pipe. See my post 5 down from the top here:

Now when re-attaching I get fantastic pressure but I also get a leak that I'm looking for help on now. Gary

We have a 2013 R-27 and when we first got her we had the same issue of low pressure at the galley sink with excellent pressure in the head sink. I assumed it was the faucet strainer but no. Even with the 1/2” hoses disconnected from the galley faucet very little water was coming thru.
I then disconnected them at the other end too, at the pump, and blasted compressed air thru the hoses. There must have been some obstruction because that fixed it.

Yes, there are little check valves in the water lines and (or) the spray head line. (I can't remember exactly.) Once the lines are disconnected the the check valves the little check valves were accessible with needle nose pliers. I took mine out and chucked them. These are there to prevent reverse water flow from the spray head back into the water system. Unlikely event... sink full of dirty water and the spray head laying loose in the sink and the water pump turned off.

Access back there is a real bugger. But...

After the spray head clog is ruled out....
The sink drain line disconnects very easily by removing the screw that you can see looking down into the sink. Then the sink is simply held in place by clear slilcone under the lip all the way around. A razor knife and a little gentle prying will break it loose. Then access to the plumbing is much easier.

Thank you for all the great advice. After reading Gary’s thread and looking at his pictures I realize I was making this job way harder than it is. Backing out the little screw on the side of the filter housing is all I needed to do to get to the flexible hose off the faucet. After I took the flexible hose off the brass fitting the little screen and back flow preventer came out easily and when right into the trash, problem solved! With the new faucet sprayers in place the water flow is as good as new.
