For those who have installed a galvanic isolator on their R-25, where did you mount the unit and how much heat does it generate? Any pics of unit installation?

I installed one in Lobo (R-25). I removed the power inlet from the boat (made installation easier). After hooking up all the wires and reinstalling the power inlet I attached the isolator inside the electrical compartment behind the helm, kind of blindly screwing into the wood against the starboard hull. It was a simple operation, the wires were long enough. Mine is a Yandina Ltd. isolator, size 4" x 3" x 1.5".

Under normal conditions ther is no heat generated. The fins on the galvanic Isolator are to keep the diodes cool in the event they have to their job of conducting up to 30 amps if there was an electrical short to the green ground wire.

Thanks to Lobo and Henry for the info. Also thanks to Andrew for the research and delivery.
