All boats that are using shore power are subject to galvanic corrosion due to possible current flowing through the green ground wire. Depending on which way the current is flowing, galvanic corrosion will eat up you zincs and then will go to work on all the other bonded underwater metals.
I installed a Newmar model # GI-30. This unit conforms with ABYC's standards pertaining to boat wiring. The installation was relatively easy. You will need some #10 green grounding wire.
