Garmin 5212's Simulation mode feature ?

Has anyone used the simulation mode feature on their Garmin 5212 ? I've started to read up on it and it sounds useful. I will be exploring this feature over next few days or so.

If you have used this feature I'd appreciate any heads-up info in advance. Thanks... 🙂
 
The similation mode is not near as much fun as the real thing.....grins
