Hello friends,
I am a new user of the Garmin series 7000 - what an amazing set of programs! The Garmin manual is from first observation pretty comprehensive but a little dry and, while it instructs how to use the various features, it does not really explain how to apply these features to common on the water situations.
Do any fellow TugNuts know of a pdf or book with a title such as "How to Play with your Garmin" or "Garmin Tips and Tricks" that puts together sets of 'local knowledge' or practices by users. For example, during our sea trials, Dave Turner took us through a set of practices using the Garmin for anchoring which was quite different from my sailing experiences using Ray Marine - it was fun, interesting and really useful.
Essentially what I am looking for is something beyond the technical aspects of the software and more into the playful applications of the Garmin. Has anyone put together or know of such a collection?
