I have the app running on my iPad and it is pretty slick. Works great and tracks along with the 7612 quite well. My question is about the chart appearance. The chart area is covered with annoying blue dots (really small squares).

Does anyone know what they are and how I can turn them off? Google has not proven helpful with this so I thought I would ask here.

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

Jim

I am just assuming that this is related to the active captain overlay. Try chart content and you can check on or off what you want on the chart for active captain.

I will give that a try thanks, but I haven't logged in to active captain at this point. Of course, maybe that's the problem.

I use Garmin BlueChart as a a backup chart plotter and for the active captain info.

Perhaps you have the weather forecast turned on by zones. That will place small blue squares identifying the zones. Hit the Chart Options button (chart looking button at lower right). Go to "Forecast" and select none instead of "Zones". That will turn off the blue squares associated with that feature.
