Does anyone know the factory offset for the depth sensor on a C30 2021. I'm not sure mine is set to the original settings. I'm referring to the distance from the sensor to the bottom of the keel. Also how many people add a fudge factor to that offset vs never going in depts shallower than x?

We are going in and out of a tight marina next week. Brandt's Landing, on Orcas Island and among other things I am trying to figure out my window of "no go" to allow the skipper to schedule our day. Brandt's has a reported 2ft clearance at 0 tide. I'm figuring that no go is calm water and a 2ft tide, which is pushing it.

I'm pretty sure the offset is set to 0 from the factory. It is easy to change, just look up in the Garmin manuals, and I set our C30 offset to -3 feet, which is probably 1-2 foot too much (given that it's not at waterline) but adds some buffer.

Note that this only changes the stated "big number" reading on the sonar displays. If you look at the actual sonar chart it still shows the actual depths below the sensor. That is great for confirming that the offset was put in correctly as well as seeing the real readings. It also lets you see/check the offset easily.

I agree with you that nominal 4 foot clearance for depth + tide is a good no-go threshold for the C30.

Thanks for the aditional information that I didn't realize, which is always good and the reason this forum is so successful. I'll try the 3ft as well. And try running a split screen with sonar while in the shallow area. I hope to get up there during the low tide and walk the area before using the marina. Fingers crossed.
