Anyone know where a replacement cord for Garmin GHS-10 remote mike can be bought?
Mine has fallen apart from sunlight on CB.
Thanks.

Contact Garmin support. Mine deteriorated also and they had me send them the old mic and they refurbished it.

I have the same problem.
Talked to Garmin last week & they said that they repair them, then I called this morning to see about sending it in & they told me that they ran out of parts & will not be doing them anymore! I tried ebay & several other sites & couldn't find another microphone.
I just ordered some liquid plastic tape & will try this on the cord.

bill46,
What year is the radio?
Is this radio on the command bridge or interior helm station?
Bill

Mike on command bridge.

Mike on command bridge. 2014 boat.

Thanks.
My R-27 only has the inside station so it should be protected.

I had mine repaired, for about $50, by Garmin about 8 months ago. Radio is inside. Covering on cord just completely disintegrated. This was on a 2014 boat. If this isn't "defective materials or workmanship" I don't know what is. Having a component fail, and then not even stock parts anymore on a a fairly expensive item is inexcusable. What if Honda said they had no part anymore for your 20014 car?

I feel that Garmin wants people to upgrade.
Same thing w/ their Chart plotters I had a 5215 in my 2012 Ranger & they do not support it anymore.
Just upgraded to a 8616 & was told by Garmin rep that it was plug & play & that I didn't need the 8616 XSV . Guess what, got to Florida & installed it & I didn't have depth. Turns out I did need to get the XSV, so $450.00 later w/ different transducer adapter it is working.

I have the same issue on my 2015 R29S, inside helm so not exposed to weather/sun. Agree that it’s a material defect and that Garmin should do something about it.

Same here with mine. The cord is starting to deteriorate. I installed the remote mic for ease of visual operation about 4 years ago and now I have been using rubber tape to mend the deteriorated cord sections. Sounds like poor material product. The problem with the marine industry is that there is a relatively small group of users and a class action has little reward for the attorneys, hence we suck wind with issues like this.
