Garmin Updates

Has any one else had trouble updating Garmin software and maps? We accessed our account, paid $100 for annual map and software update. We were directed to a site that does not support Firefox. We were directed to a site that does not support Microsoft Edge (the windows 1o version of Internet Explorer). We then followed carefully the instructions provided by Garmin to get Internet Explorer working on windows 10. It doesn't.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I spent several days trying to get the update system to work. Was finally successful, first try, with my wife's laptop. After five, or six (maybe more) tries at implementing Garmin techs' recommendations I finally gave up trying to get my laptop to accept them. Didn't try their last recommendation. It required too many changes for me to be comfortable trying them. After 30+ years of messing around with PC type computers and programming (55+ years with computers), I know my limitations.

If you are going to the rendezvous I am sure Garmin will have the updates.

I made that suggestion to farming when they sent out the email to all participants. The answer was that they would bring means to update systems if needed.

$29 for something you can download for free if you have a laptop with a Windows 7 or earlier system. It takes Garmin forever to update their system. They have never played well with Macs.
