Hi

Have the above on my R31, a VHF200 and 3 x GHS10, one mounted in the Cabin, and two on the CB. The VHF200 functions as expected, but nothing from the GHS10 hand units...no display / power. I have to think there is a simple solution but it is alluding me. Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Pickles,

Do you have the GHS10 cable plugged into the front or rear port of the VHF 200?

The GHS10 must be plugged into the rear port of the VHF200 to function properly.

Hi Dale

I have the GHS10's plugged into the 3 outlets around the boat, not into the front of the unit. I believe these three outlets are wired on the network and terminate into the rear of the VHF200.

Thanks

Pickles,

You may have a software conflict between the VHF200 and GHS10's. I would get in touch with Garmin support to ask them, I have found them to be pretty responsive. They will ask you for your current software versions. In my case, I was getting the same indications from our VHF210 and GHS11 and it turned out that a special update procedure had to be used on the GHS11 to get the new software to synch with the VHF210 update I had previously installed.

Hl Pickles,

I have to turn my vhf 200 off before plugging in my handheld unit, then my handheld will power up and work. If ny main unit vhf 200 is on before plugging in my garmin 10 the handheld shows no sign of power. I do not know if this is the way it is suppose to work or not? Let me know if this works for you?

Hi Dayle

Just this second got back from my boat and figured exactly that scenario. I did a bit of research last night and that is apparently how it is supposed to work. Have to have them all plugged in at power on. No idea how I did not run into this situation previous years 🙂

Many Thanks for all the input
Paddy
