Garmin's microSD/SD card: VCA018R-Inside-Outside Passage

Subject: Buying the Garmin's microSD™/SD™ card: VCA018R-Inside-Outside Passage SKU: 010-C1105-00 ?

I've noted by searching for this SD card that its price varies considerably from Garmin's listed price of $321 to as low as $221.

The one site listing it for $221 shows it's the exact same SD card with a SKU 010-C1105-00 as that sold by Garmin.

For a savings of $100 it seems that it would be silly to pay the $321. What do others think ?

I would use this card with my Garmin MFD 741XS.

I purchased at the $220.00 price, It came sealed and was less than a year old (as far as up dates are concerned) I have seen them cheap AND four years old.

I noted on the Garmin site that if you want updated (that is, current data) map data you have to buy a new SD card from them. This tells me that older G2 Vision SD cards likely have older map data etc. However, I assume the basic guidance features offered with the SD card remain.

So it seems to me the downside of buying older SD cards for the lower prices means you get out dated data and lack of new data.
