Gelcoat repair

It happens to all of our boats sooner or later, for us it was sooner. I dropped something onto the lip of a cockpit locker on our R25OB and the gelcoat cracked. I got ahold of Tim Bates at Ranger Tugs who referred me to Marine Coat One. Marine Coat One sells DIY repair kits and the good news is that Ranger Tugs has supplied them with the proper gelcoat colors for our boats. I made a post that includes photos of the before, during and after and posted them on our “Trailer Trawlers” facebook site for those that have an interest in seeing the results.

Thank you for the info. I sent Marine Coat One an email to see if they have a color match for me to deal with with some blemishes in the cockpit of our 2018 R23 (tan color). They phoned me the next day (!) to find out details of what I needed. They were not certain they had a color match so they said they would call the Factory which apparently they did and then they called me again later that day to let me know they would have a color match in about a week. I had asked a Factory rep if I could get some matching gelcoat a few weeks ago and was told they did not have any. So this looks like it may be a good option for anyone looking to do some touch up or repairs. https://marinecoatone.com/
