While replacing the thruster battery on my 2019 R27OB recently I noticed the positive terminal had three main wires attached. The first was labeled “Thruster” and ran to the thruster battery disconnect switch. The second was labeled “Inverter” and ran to the inverter battery disconnect switch. The third was labeled “generator” which provides starting power for the generator. However, that wire does not appear to have a battery disconnect switch to prevent accidental discharge of the battery. The boat has a total of four battery disconnect switches (plus one parallel switch) which I religiously turn off when storing the boat. With all that emphasizes to fully disconnect batteries I’m surprised that one wire to the generator does not go through a disconnect switch. Should I add a disconnect switch just to be safe ?
