Hey Ranger, why only the left coast gets a factory sponsored rendezvous. albeit we only boat 1/2 a year, east coast lives matter too.give us something to look foward to after sitting frozen in place.

I have been organizing a Rendezvous in the Northeast now for about 4 years now. The factory and some of the local dealers cooperate and participate. It fell by the wayside this year because my wife and I were in the Pacific Northwest. Having now cruised the Pacific Northwest I can tell you a few things. A) Ranger probably has about 30 percent of the market in the PNW. B) All owners in the PNW are relatively close to one another and traveling to a rendezvous location is easy for many many boats and one rendezvous can be reached by all.

The Rendezvous I have conducted in the Northeast usually attracts about 20 boats. It is a lot of work to organize a Rendezvous. This past summer it went by the wayside because I wasn't around. There was an attempt to get one going last minute, but it fell apart. Primarily it was the last minute thing that was difficult.
Geographically the east coast is huge as compared to the PNW. Ranger would have to put a ton of work together to hold various rendezvous in multiple locations. My opinion is that the dealers on the east coast would need to coordinate and organize their own at different times to cater to a particular geographic area.

I see you gents are from Brooklyn, NY and MA. I am in the middle of planning and organizing the 2017 Southwest Florida Rendezvous right now, but shortly there after I will be getting the Northeast one in motion. I have no location or date set, but it tends to be located somewhere between you two, so stay tuned.

In addition to Mike's comment I've organized a North Channel Rendezvous in 2014 and 2015, about 20 or so boats in attendance. Like Mike ours was not conducted last year because Lisa and I were in the PNW but we're looking into 2017. The North Channel is in Ontario, northwest of Toronto and northeast of Chicago and Detroit. The factory is a sponsor along with a number of other vendors. Keep watch on Tugnuts for more info regarding the summer of 2017 event.

Having just purchased a 29 CB and living in Panama City Fl we would be interested in a Florida meet up.

We need something in Southern California too as the PNW is a bit of haul for us too. I believe our broker, Long Beach Yacht Sales, is trying to work something out with the factory.

Put us on the list for the Southern Ca rendezvous. Sounds like a great idea.

we are Jim & Sue, recent owners of a R29 SEA SHANTY presently located in So. Bristol, Maine. We are considering moving Sea Shanty to our location in Stuart, FL. How do we find other Ranger owners in either location? I believe we are registered but don't find us listed on your members list. We'd appreciate any advice or help.
Thanks Jim
