Traveling to northern part of Lake Michigan (eastern shore) and looking for recommendations on good put-in/take-out ramp for trailered Cutwater 28. Going to be in the area of Traverse City to Petosky/Harbor Springs. I will be calling in the area but have, in the past, been sent to ramps by marina's that are "popular" but will not work for the larger boats. Appreciate any recommendations anyone may have for this area.

In Traverse City, the best ramps are at the Elmwood Township Marina. In Charlevoix I’d suggest the ramp off of Ferry Road and Stover Rd next to Irish Boat Shop. In Petoskey there is a ramp at the Municipal Marina, adjacent to Downtown Petoskey.

Just North East of Traverse City is Elk Rapids. Grace Harbor Marina there has the best ramp I have used anywhere. The long term parking is at the high school, a short mile or 2 walk that our dogs love. ( I understand the marina staff will give you a shuttle ride if you want but we have always walked it or ridden the bike.) We have had vehicles and our trailer there for weeks at at time for many years and never had any issues. (Sometimes they charge for the overnight parking and sometimes they don't, but when they do it is only $10 a night so I never complain.) You should call ahead and avoid the weekend they have their harbor days celebration because it is too crowded, sometime in the next two weeks I think.)

Good point on Elk Rapids Todd, Harbor Days is the first weekend in August. Also in Charlevoix, there big summer event (Venetian Festival) is July 23/24.

Thanks for all the guidance. We are planning to use the ramp at Bay Harbor Lake Marina with the ramps at the Municipal marina as plan B and Irish Boat Works as Plan C.

Thanks again as well as the mention of the Harbor Days festival. All recommendations going in our list.
