Hello Tugnuts (particularly from Everett (WA) north to Bellingham (WA).

I am in need of a tandem axle trailer to be able to put my new Ranger Tug 25SC in the Bellingham Ski to Sea street parade on May 27th (Saturday). This is the beginning of Memorial Day Weekend and it's big time in this part of the world. The Parade is on Saturday with a number of high school bands, Pipe bands from here and Canada, logging trucks, kid floats, especially little girls with batons--dangerous bunch but cute. It's a big parade for Bellingham. Then on Sunday there is a team race from near the top of Mount Baker with cross country skiers, downhill skiers, canoeists, mountain bikers, cross country runners and finally kayakers who criss-cross Bellingham Bay to the finish line. Big time race with hundreds of people participating.

Monday is a holiday for remembrance and to let everyone relax. But the parade starts it off.

Now the Squalicum Yacht Club is having its eightieth anniversary--we've been cruising since 1937. Hence, we'd like to celebrate by putting adagio (my R-25SC) in the parade with nice signs on each side proclaiming our anniversary. As most of the feminine members exclaim, "it's cute!" I've got a company ready to wax and buff the hull (it is a dark blue one), someone with signal flags to "dress ship" and a number of club members to wave to all their friends in the crowds along the route. We're even thinking of a bubble machine with bubbles coming out one of the top hatches, can't figure out how to make it come out of the smoke stack. But a hatch will do.

It should be fun. Haul out adagio in the morning, get into parade position and dress ship with signs and flags. Roll through the parade and then back to the Squalicum harbor and re-launch adagio. Simple. All we need is a loan (or rent) a tandem trailer that would haul a R-25SC from someone in the area. Do we need a half-ton or a Three quarter ton pickup? Any suggestions?

If you have a trailer we could use you can contact me by email (trumpeter38@gmail.com). Let me know your situation.

Happy tugging to you all.....

I have one in Bothell if you need it.
