I just returned from having my boat worked on at Canoe Cove Manufacturing, just north of Sidney, BC. I had the bottom painted, davits and a new Ranger dinghy installed and the usual list of minor annoyances taken care of. I was met at the dock by Steve Phillips, a bit of a character and an all-around great guy. The total experience was real pleasure. Steve is very experienced and knowledgeable about all things Ranger. All of the boating specialties are well represented in Canoe Cove and all are first rate. Every item on my list was expertly completed and I must say that Sojourner looks better than new. The cost seemed very reasonable and there was no tax (US boat repairs exempt). Steve was also gracious about providing transportation to and from Sidney.
