Can anyone enlighten me as to why I would have marked my calendar "Cruise Gulf Islands with the Tugnuts" starting June 11, 2011 . . . and then blocked out the entire week?
I don't see any threads on the Forum about this ?cruise and seem destined to searching in vain for Ranger Tugs. It's not that I will be bored...It is just more fun at Happy Hour when there is good company to share it with. Like this time LAST YEAR! I know Karma is out of position, but what are the others doing?

You could change that to "Bell Harbor" in Seattle WA and join us for drinks on the dock!!!

John,
I do not remember whether you have a trailer or not but...... if you do, you could load up Port Nut and head to Lake Shasta for a little fresh water cruising. We stopped at the lake on the way south from Seattle and were amazed at how full the lake is! The trees are in the water! We have never seen the lake this full before!

Come join us on Shasta!

Just returned home today from 10 days cruising the Gulf Islands. Checked out my old favourite stops and some new ones. Sorry that it wasn't a Tugnuts cruise as in 2010, but I still had fun doing it solo. The little Port Nut turned heads everywhere we went and was cause for the start of many great encounters. Will update the site one day, but not soon as I have a mission to perform. Port Nut will be escort boat on June 23 (weather permitting) for a swimmer traversing Georgia Strait from Sturdies Bay (Galiano Is.) to Tsawassen Terminal. Check out http://willrogers.ca/.

The adventure continues. . .

Check with Mark at Weffing Marine in Eastpoint, Florida. They are Tug dealers and may be setting something up. There are some great cruising areas on the Gulf Coast. You can google them. Ladybug, Too. Pat (byrne42@cox.net)

Will Rogers successfully completed the above-mentioned swim in just over 9 hours. There was a wind swell for the first half of the crossing as it had blown 15+ NW all night. The second half, a SE 10-15 kn started up and it grew choppy. It was not the smoothest of conditions for the swim, but the Port Nut was a great support boat as it maintained station and the low transom with swim grid/ladder were utilized to great advantage. Not only does the swimmer sit on the grid for nutrition stops, there is also the obligatory phone call to his mother. I have posted some photos on the website.
