My yard electrician suggested I get a sacrificial zinc to hang over the stern on my 25 SC. Where's the best place to attach and ground it?
Thanks,

Direct to the negative side of your battery set.
Park the guppy in the drink holder on the port side of the stern seat. Run an insulated wire from there under the battery hatch.
Use the hatch as a wire clamp when you let the guppy down over the Port stabilizer/trim tab, so that it is just in the water. When the length is just right let the hatch down on the wire to clamp it.
When you pull the guppy up let the excess wire coil on top of the battery set (you did buy insulated, right?)

The reason for the guppy only barely in the water and directly over the stabilizer is for when you forget to pull it in and you back out of the slip - don't ask how I learned this (twice  )

My little tug has a wire that is connected to the rudder and then runs up into the cabin. It was not connected to anything at the other end. Should this wire be connected to the negative side of the electrical system? My rudder does have zincs on it. The prop does too. I assumed that the prop was connected through the shaft. A assumed that the rudder was connected through the linkage. Thoughts anyone as to this wire???

I would connect it.
Yes, any negative cable to the battery set.
