Hanging a rack for dishes

Hi All, looking to hang a rack to store dishes and flatware on the wall between the galley and the head of the in our R27. Not sure what length of screw to use to mount it. Any of you veterans of drilling holes in your boat have that info handy?
 
It depends on the thickness of your rack. Our rack is about 7/16". I think the wall is at least 3/4" thick but I cannot guarantee that. I predrilled and countersunk the screw hole just enough to take the screw head edge to the surface of the rack material and used a stainless 1" oval head screw. There is about 1/2" of thread in the wall.
 
The back of the rack is about 1/4 inch thick. I will go with 3/4 inch length to put a half inch into the wall.
