Hatch Latch

Hi Guys,

I need to swap out the hatch lift latch on my C 28. I need one that locks. I have looked but can't find a reference for the manufacturer.

Does anyone know who makes them? And where to buy?

Thanks but no. I that one is for the windows latch. I'm looking for the deck latch for the engine compartment.

This was a perfect replacement. Fit right in. That almost never happens.

Just one caution. The Gemlux was not working properly. Wouldn't let me check out. I called on the phone, the people couldn't. They placed my order, free shipping for retail customers.

I wanted this to control access to the engine compartment. I don't like mechanics, etc. yanking on the pull. I don't think its good for the seals. The other day I had a detailing crew aboard. They were using a hose full blast to rinse the bilge. I like to keep it dry down there to avoid water on the computers and connections. That might just be y quirks. But the lock solves all that.

Myself, the defaul value is UNLOCKED. I will only lock as appropriate.

I replaced my hatch locks with locking locks. Just note, it's the same key for all the locks. Locks are for honest people.

Gemlux has options. If you order several you can have them keyed alike. If you like, they will key them separately. My key will not necessarily be the same as yours.

If this is your engine latch, just a reminder to make sure it's unlocked when your boat is operational. If a fire or leak was to breakout in your engine bay having a lock is one more thing to try and figure out.
