The hatch above the helm seat on my R23 leaked last night during torrential sideways rains from the remnants of Ida. Previous post from 2008 suggested it is a 5 min fix to replace the seal. Are the hatches manufactured by Jim Black? and is the following the appropriate replacement seal?

It will take longer than 5 minutes, but a fairly simple job. I have used EPDM weather strip material from Home Depot. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Frost-K...ular-Rubber-Weatherstrip-Tape-V25BK/202844545 . I suggest two strips around the perimeter. My experience shows that when these were first installed the turn in the corners was tight and then the gaskets slipped over time and the seal compromised. Same is true of the side windows.
