head faucet restriction

Read some of the posts on back flow preventers , not sure if that is my problem ? cold water restriction only in the head faucet . Sink is fine , New boat , in the water 2 months . Hot water side in head is fine . Thought I would check with you guys before I start pulling things apart . thanks

Sounds like a restriction on the cold water side. First check to make sure it is not kinked under the sink. If it is okay I would turn off the water pump. Disconnect the facet connection under the sink. Put a pot at the hose supply and have someone turn on the pump. If water is flowing freely then you may have and obstruction on the cold water side in the faucet. If the water is not running freely then it is an obstruction on the supply cold side.

I had an issue with water flow in the head and gally sinks and thought it was the water pump or other....

I took each faucet apart and cleaned out the filter (easy to do - just unscrew at the point of water discharge) and clean all parts. I found some residual filings and other stuff that was just probably from construction and/or break in to the water heater, etc. The boat is a 2013 but I'm the second owner, so don't know what was done before.

Anyway - it solved the problem and dramatically increased water flow.....
