We’re on our maiden voyage on our 2013 R27. What would a boat trip be without head problems?
We have a Raritan electric head, Sea Era model. After each day of motoring the head will not pull in and pump any seawater.
If I remove the intake hose from the strainer, disconnect it at the head and blow thru it, it will then prime and pump fine all night.
It shares a sea strainer with the Yanmar 180 and raw water wash down.
I looked at the parts diagram and don’t see an impeller on the intake side.
A check valve at the strainer in the head hose could keep the engine from robbing the head of water.
Any ideas or suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance.
