We have a 2015 C28. OK, here are two rookie questions: 1, our heater has always worked great, however, just a week ago it would not come on. A red blinking light has appeared on the panel. what is the cause and how can I fix. 2, engine hatch will not lift. I followed the cable to what looks like a small resevoir that looks empty. Does this require fluid and if so what kind and where is the access to fill? Or, is there another solution?

Mucho gracias!

Hello,

Typically you need to count how many time it blinks as that will give you a blink code that then relates to a diagnostic code that can be followed. No real answer till we know which code it is then can be diagnosed properly.

The reservoir holds normal ATF, first make sure that your trim plates are all the way up as they share the same fluid as the hatch, if the trim plates are all the way down and there is no more fluid for the engine hatch to use and lift the hatch. If plates are up and still no or low fluid you would need to fill the reservoir then run all hydraulics and verify there are no leaks in the system.

Let me know if I can help, best to email me which is in my signature.

Thank you,
Kevin Lamont

Where is this reservoir located on the C28?

Reservoir is located under the hatch all the way aft on the starboard side. very hard to get to. I am not at the boat and have not tried to fill so not sure if there is an access to fill from above. I expect to give it a try mid July when I return to San Diego.
