This switch seems designed to turn a heater on and off. The only heater we have is the Webasto, and that functions whether that switch is ON or OFF.
What does it do?

HI!

Can you please send a picture of the switch to my email?

Thanks in advance!

Marcos,

Will do. Thanks

On our boat, that switch is for the bus heater that uses engine heat like the heater in a car. When that switch is on, you turn a knob near the helm to off, high, or low depending on the fan speed you want. The heater itself is located next to the helmsman' s feet, facing the aisle.

Yes, this is exactly what it’s for. If you turn the heater breaker on it will allow you to operate your “free” heat while running the engine. You should have a low, medium and high switch at the dash that operates this.

Thanks Andy,

Works perfectly...will be handy for our winter cruises!

Hi guys,

Just brought home my new to me 2019 R23. During the test ride I asked the dealer to demo the heat. He worked with it for a while and I didn't really feel anything and before I new it the ride was over. When we got back to the shop he said the heater was toasty when they took the boat out. The boat is in my driveway now and I'm trying to get it to work. Is it as simple as setting the temp and pushing the top start button? The unit illumintes some red lights and says "heat" but I don't feel anything. Am I missing something here?

For the Webasto units here are the steps, press the Webasto button one time and the dispaly will come on, press the Webasto button a second time and that will put the unit into heat mode, rotate the dial to the desired temp and press the bottom button with the square on it (this will set the temp). To turn the unit off, press the Webasto button once to turn the dispaly back on, then press the Webasto button a second time, you'll see the red lights turn off but the fan will continue to run. Note; there is a 4 minute start up and 4 minute cool down when turning the unit on and off.
