Help with the tach Gremlins

Went for a short ride today, about an hour at cruising RPM, 2500. All fine. No lights, whistles, alarms; all fine. When I return to dock, I notice the tach is not registering any engine turns. Engine running, neutral idle about 700. But, no reading. Push the neutral button and race the engine. No reading. Now everything is working but the tach. What do I do first to get the tach back up? As always, Thx guys.

The connectors on the sensor on the motor will usually corrode. Clean them and it will likely solve the issue.
