HIN sequencing

I hope someone at the factory can provide some insight into this topic. I wondering how the HIN are sequenced. One after the other? Or does part of the number indicate the day of the month the hull was laid up?
I have looked at two R21ECs and both were built in February of 2013. One is numbered 13H213 and the other 15I213.
13H is blue and 15I is green. Any info would squelch my curiosity.

I read this as follows:
13h213 - the 13th boat made for the model year 2013. The build began in August 2012.

15I213 - the 15th boat made for the model year 2013. The build began in September 2012.

I don't remember where I got the following encoding from and it may be wrong but this is how I interpret it:

US = United States
FMLT = Fluid Motion
27 = length
01 = 1st boat built this model year
D = 4th month / April build began
1 = calendar year 2011
12 = model year 2012

Gary's explanation of the Serial Number is consistent with what my dealer told me and the Serial Number on our 2021 R29.

Fml is fluid motion.
The T is for Tug, a C would be for Cutwater. 🙂
