Has anyone out there installed an external gauge on the holding tank of an R23? If so, would you please let me know how you did it? Thanks!

I put in three scad units, none worked. Poor support. Tried two Tankedge, they didn't work either. Makes me suspect the quality of my waste.

On my new 2018 R-27/OB that has a holding tank that's completely hidden from sight I have installed a Rite Fill flow meter in the raw water line leading to the head. See my photo album at http://www.tugnuts.com/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=49404

Setting this to zero each time I pump out and keeping an occasional eye on the flow meter's readout I can determine when it becomes a necessity to pump out. My procedure will be to pump out ASAP if the readout shows 25 gallons have been drawn to the head. The R-27's holding tank is a mere 30 gallons.

Yesterday there were 7 people on board and I had pumped out prior to yesterday. We were out for maybe 3 hours and today when I looked at the flow meter's readout is displayed 2.63 gallons.

The flow meter was a bit spendy at around $200 but IMO money well spent compared to having the holding tank fill to capacity and causing a nasty mess in and outside the boat.

I use Hart Systems Tank Tender. Powered by gravity, never fails.
