After pumping out the holding tank, the indicator light in the head flashes green/yellow indicating a half full holding tank. Have checked the sensor by holding my hand over the mid sensor and top sensor. The sensor indicator does change from green to yellow and red. Half full, half empty, empty?? If not emptying what would cause this?

Hi Harry,

The only things that could cause this would be that the tank is not fully empty, the sensor is not properly adhered to the tank, or the sensor is faulty. I would check and make sure the sensor is properly secured in place. Hope this helps get you started.

Cheers!

Ralf

Thanks Ralf, We filled the tank with clear water until we got a red light and pumped. Did that a couple of times until we got very clear water passing through the sight gage and the green light came back. Hopefully that will take care of our issue.

Our green light stays green until about one or two flushes. It's obviously not very accurate. The only way we even get to the green light is if we flush and fill it about 4 times. I just gave up worrying about it after I know it has been pumped out, even if it's still yellow after a pump-out.

My 2016 C30 has been very accurate for going on seven years so really wanted to try and get to the bottom of it. (Sorry no pun intended)

A bit late to the topic. Here is what I learned about our RT-29 CB, ...not that different when it comes to the holding tank. FM advised that the pick-up into the tank does not go all the way down and thus does not pick up everything. Our symptoms (at the gauge) were identical to yours. We accessed the side of the tank and measured. Then we calibrated with 5-gallon cans. After pumping out normally, we had a 27-gallon usable capacity in our 40-gallon tank.

I have been watching your YouTube’s and have really enjoyed them. Anyway I can contact you to ask you about some of the software you use??
