Has anyone found a dual trumpet electric horn that lasts more than a year before rusting? I can’t justify a Kahlenburg for the boat as the compressor and etc take too much space. I have gone through two marinco or sea dog horns and they are garbage…

Surprised. My factory dual trumpet is ten years old and works great.

Now I'm worried about jinxing it, but similar to Martin -- ours is 4 years old from the factory and works perfectly (although rarely used since we avoid fog!)

Do you have cosmetic exterior rust or interior corrosion that is causing the horn to not work? If your horn doesn't work, there are a few threads here regarding cleaning horn contacts. Here's a factory bulletin that shows how to service an Ongarro but I think other models are similar:

Our OEM horn is going on three years and no issues yet.

David,
Agreed the horns are a pain to service. They just don’t last long enough when you cruise in heavy seas or heavy rain on a frequent basis. I know the newer ONGARO horns have drains at their base but that isn’t enough to ensure longevity. As that song says - it’s just a matter of time!
I serviced mine twice and completely replaced them twice on my 2009 R-25 Classic.
I carry two canned air horns. One at the helm and one as a spare for when, not if, the rooftop horns crap out.
