Several discussions have mentioned hoses to direct the flow from thru-hull fittings when the boat is on the trailer or on the hard. I use this this hose from the plumbing section at Lowe’s:

It inserts firmly and fits the thru-hulls on my 2012 R27 perfectly. In fact, when I didn’t have a second person to hold it, the hose stayed in place when expelling antifreeze from the holding tank through the macerator pump and into a 5-gallon bucket during the winterizing process. It’s best to have someone hold the hose in place for something like that, but in my case I had no other choice. I use another section of the hose with a long neck funnel inserted in it to pour antifreeze through the forward bilge pump thru-hull during winterization.

It would also work to capture gray water in a container while “boaterhoming”. No need for someone to hold it in place since there is no pressure involved.

I don’t know if the same size thru-hulls are used on later or earlier model boats, but it works well on mine. It is very sturdy yet pliable.

Just finished our first boaterhoming experience. We stayed at three different RV parks on a 1600 mile tow. We were using the app RVParky to locate RV parks that had pull through sites and could handle "big rigs." We made phone reservations at all three and told them upfront we were towing a boat. Absolutely no problems with any of these RV parks. We received lots of nice comments from the other people in the parks.

To pump out the holding tank, we used the dishwasher drain hose that was referenced earlier in this thread. A hose with a 7/8 inch outside diameter fit perfectly into the through hull. We did not have to hold the hose in the through hull as it fit snugly enough on its own. The 7/8 inch dishwasher drain hose was available at Lowes, but not at Home Depot. Depending on how close you can park next to the park's sewer hookups, you may need to add a hose extension to reach farther than the 6 feet that comes with the dishwasher drain hose. But the 6 feet is fine if you are using the drive up sites at the rest stops.

Between the RV parks and the many rest stops on the interstates, boaterhoming is a great way to travel between all the wonderful places our Ranger Tugs can take us.

Thanks Caspers, finding a hose and picking one up was on my to do list before winter. GF
