Plugged in to power yesterday and turned on battery charger after 2 weeks of without charger on. Ran small electric heater all night. This morning, smell of acid battery, a warm power connection cord, a warm to hot house battery that was "gurgling"... what did I do??? Or do I just have a bad 1 year old battery? Just talked to Andrew, always my savior! We are going to start with the battery. Any other words of wisdom are appreciated. Thanks again Andrew!

Not sure how cold it gets where you are butnitnis possible the battery froze of it was run down in the cold. Usually if that happens you will see a crack or puffy sides.. When it freezes the plates can warp and touch then will over heat when charging.. If you change battery I'm pretty sure life will be good again
Good Luck..

Obviously, Andrew is the man with the info. But, it could easily be the battery charger. A recent piece of info I picked up had to do with how chargers will sometimes charge at too high a rate when first started. The recommendation was to only allow about an hour of charging, check the battery and charge more if needed.
