There's a 15mm bolt on the engine side that won't turn either way and a big hex head on the front I'm scared to put much more force to. Trying to remove just the pully, it's a little rough, preventive maintenance.

Currently soaking bolt with penetrating oil, don't want to go after this with heat, what say the "Nuts brain trust?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the 260 but on my little 4 cylinder 150 you bump the belt off with a special tool. Have you looked at your manual? Are you trying to get a belt off or replace a tensioner/pulley?

Replace pully, but it's looking like it's a one piece unit, searching the internet for it now. Also searching for idler pully and alternator. Any parts help appreciated.

Tony Athens at Seaboard Marine in Oxnard was a Yanmar distributor, I am sure he could tell you how to get the pulley off. Tony is one of the most knowledgeable engine guys I have ever met. If he still handles Yanmar he would have parts too 805-382-6287. Ventura Harbor Yacht Yard is a Yanmar dealer and would be able to get parts 805-642-6755.
