fuel filter ? is there one or two?

coolant in raditor?

THE FIRST OIL CHANGE SHOULD OCCUR PRIOR TO 30 ENGINE HOURS AND SINCE THE FIRST TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE IS AT 50 HOURS YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER DOING BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. THE CUMMINS MANUAL WILL GIVE GUIDELINES ON THIS AND OTHER MAINTENANCE. RICK, CIAO BELLA

Have a nice cup of coffee, sit down and "become one" with your owner's manual.

For starters, do you want to mess up your warranty by not observing the maintenance and break in schedule?

In our first six months I had read the manual three times, learned to change the oil and transmission fluid, check the Racor filter, memorized my hull #, engine serial #, Coast Guard documentation #, and several spare part numbers, and heaven knows what else. And I am a dumb blonde accountant....

In the briefcase of manuals which came with your boat, you will find one with a black and white cover, titled "Cummins MerCruiser Diesel - Operation, Maintenance & Warranty Manual." Pages 42 and 43 list your routine and scheduled maintenance for the items you mentioned. Pages 46 and following show how to change the oil and filter.
