Peace and quiet were not on the menu Sunday ,being one of a very few tugs in the area you are bound to draw a crowd but this was ridiculous ,we anchored up in a quiet unoccupied cove and I went in the cabin for a snooze when the admiral starts yelling for me.when I emigre I'm shocked to see 6 boats anchored all around us with a competion to see who can get closest to us.after a bevy of questions a party broke out with us in the center of this MADDNESS ,not complaining just saying.

Sounds like a cosy situation. Were the other 6 boats R-21ECs also. 😉

Every where we go our RT31CB draws a crowd, We are happy to show it, and everyone is amazed what is crammed in a 31' boat!
We love it.

I had hand out sheets with FAQ. We also started docking bow in, can't get any peace and quiet. Plus the view is better. We found the PNW was so inundated with RT's it wasn't as bad.

We were the only tug, that's the problem no one ever saw one before.

That's the downside of being the first to anchor in a quiet cove: you take a wide open spot and those coming in think you are "in the know"... "Let's toss out the anchor by that cute little boat!"

😎

This Ranger Tug had to make a quick get away as this was one heck of a crowd. The Coast Guard Eagle off the coast of Gloucester Massachusetts all being photographed by a Cutwater. Couldn't get any better!

Very cool picture, the tug looks like a toy next to that monster.

We anchored out in a quiet cove on the Corrotoman River (off the Rappahannock) with our R21EC, and were approached by a Rosborough RF246 who wanted to check us out and invited us to spend the night at his dock, then a dinghy launched from a nearby dock to check us out and talk. I can't decide if we like the attention, or not, but we do like our boat!! Hope to move up to a 25 in the near future. We always draw a lot of attention at the launch ramp, but it does give us the opportunity to meet more boating people!

Same thing happens here in Western Australia when ever we are cruising or anchored there are always people who love to chat about these awesome vessels 😀 🙂
Cheers

Same thing with me guys. Whenever I launch, or just while I am cruising around the local waters, people just seem to gravitate to us and want to chat. The Fisheries and Marine Safety guys always seem to target me for a 'safety inspection' and once they're done they want to chat and ask more questions. Good PR for Ranger I guess. Regards to all.
