Hi Folks

My 2018 R27 sat in storage for the 6 + months. The engine and house batteries came back to life. My inverter works (yay!) after a day or two, but the Thruster Battery is not coming back to life.

How is this battery charged normally. And how to I get it to recharge ? I checked the in-line fuse and looks ok. It is a bit tight to get jumper cables in there for trickle charge from a battery charger.

Is there a simple hack to get my thruster battery to recharge ?

thanks !

Paul

could be two things. 1. the battery is toast and wont recharge. 2. as the volts are very low (under 9.6v), the ACR will not close to protect the other batteries so no charge is getting to it.

#2 is a undervolt lockout. from acr website:
What does “Undervoltage Lockout” mean?
As a safety feature, some ACRs prevent combining into a severely discharged battery. A dual-sensing ACR will monitor the voltage on both batteries and will not connect if either battery is below the undervoltage lockout level. Use caution when combining into a battery with extremely low voltage, because this might represent a faulty battery or a problem elsewhere in the system.

check the LED on the ACR. and try charging the battery seperately.

Cutwater28GG knows his/her stuff.

It happens to me. A separate charge has worked for me in the past. Once I have gotten over that undervoltage level I have been fine all season

My R27 came equipped with an uncharged Thruster battery.
The dealer used a jumper cable to bypass the ACR so it could charge.
