Has anyone had success, or problems, resetting the MT-1 meter in the cave? I would like to erase the existing data and have it start tracking new mins.

The instructions say K1 and K2 should be pressed but this simply places the unit in test mode. I have had it look as if it reset but then it turns out to still have the old data. I was successful once early on but can't make it work now.

Looking for ideas.

So, I tried both arrows, and the last two buttons and then the first and last, and then one and another and nothing seemed to work but then when I started to cycle through the data it was clear that they did reset.

Something seemed to work and I will now keep track and figure it out.

Not sure about it being Morningstar as there is nothing that says that in the docs or on the meter.

Pressing the left arrow and the right arrow simultaneously clears the info. As you discovered, nothing changes on the main screen, but all the history does get cleared.

Thanks for getting me to try things Knotflying. That combination did not work for mine but the opposite did, and I confirmed it today.

Not sure why the difference but on mine it is the first and last button that resets things. I am going to have to make notes on the PDF as the instructions say first and second.

From what I have found on the net a MT-1 meter is a Renogy product, not Morningstar (RM-1).

There are no manufacturing identification marks on the unit beyond Meter MT-1. I was able to locate the instructions online and they don’t mention a name either but the photo is identical to my unit. The reset key sequence in the instructions doesn’t work for my panel but now I have confirmed that K1 and K4 together resets the panel. Would love to get confirmation from others on this.

I can find instructions with photos for this Meter MT-1 under two names, Westech and Renogy. Identical photos that match the panel on the R-23.

The Renogy instructions do not include the same set of reset instructions that the Westech has. Westech is wrong and Renogy is silent.

K1 and K4 works to reset my panel. If anyone else with a 23 happens to check this on their boat it would be good to get some consensus.

There are MT-1 meters that are sold by different companies and look identical, but they indeed are functionally different.
