Good day.
How do you empty the water heater on a C30? I can undo the cold water inlet hose very easily, but the water heater just drains in the floor of the water heater area. IS this ok? It seems to drain onto the painted wood floor which I don't think is a good idea.

Then...when I go to use RV antifreeze, what keeps the water pump from sucking all my 1 gallon jugs of antifreeze from filling the water heater with 10 gallons if it? I.e. I don't see a bypass or anything to prevent filling it.

In our old bayfield we removed the hot and cold line from the tank and joined them together with a plastic fitting then pumped the antifreeze through the lines and taps. Drained the tank and left it as is. What ever water is left in it will freeze but cause no problem a more permanent solution is to install a RV bypass kit.
No need to put antifreeze in the tank.
Same with the water tank.

Although nI don't have a C30 (I have a RT 25), I purge all the water out of the hot water tank by connecting a drill-driven pump to the outlet of the hot water tank and put the outlet of the pump in one of the scupper. Then I open the bleed valve and pump out all the water out of the hot water tank. Of not, the previous owner installed a "winterizing" bypass kit on the hot water tank that prevents any water to be fed in the inlet of the tank when doing this. Then I leave the hot water tank empty over the winter.

For winterizing the fresh water system, I do not add water to the FW tank. I disconnect the inlet (from FW tank to pump), blow it back to the tank. Then I customized a pipe with a flojet adapter and connect to the inlet of the FW pump and put the other end in a bucket filled with wintering fluid, then turn on taps and showers until pink fluids comes through. FW lines all done and no winterizing fluid to wash from the FW tank in the spring.
