I’m on a Great Loop section cruise in my 2012 R27. Today, when I was pulling into my slip at the marina in Hessel, Michigan on Lake Huron, a guy came and helped catch my lines (I’m single-handing). His boat was in the next slip— a brand new Life Proof 35 with two 600 HP Mercury Verado outboards. His boat IS NOT a RIB. The “tubes” are actually foam. The beam is 12’.
His previous boat? A Ranger Tug 27OB! I’m not joking. He had the Ranger Tug for three years and sold it to buy this boat.
