Ice Machine problem

2014 R29. Classic
Ice machine was producing ice on demand...Needed more freezer space for provisions so I disconnected the water solenoid.
Would like to reestablish the the ice maker.
Defrosted the unit and reconnected the solenoid. The compressor operates to freezing conditions, however it does not harvest.
No settings were changed i.e. cube size or temperature. Any experience

Usually the last thing you touched is the culprit. Perhaps the solenoid is stuck because of lack of use.

I had a bad motor on ice maker when I bought 2 year old boat. Steel rusts and freezes. Easy replacement.

I replaced the icemaker component when the heater circuit malfunctioned and almost caused a fire. Not too difficult a fix, but the replacement part was around $250.
